PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intercom system for apartment that allows an automatic door to be opened/closed even after the end of a call between an entrance unit and a room master unit. SOLUTION: The intercom system for apartment is provided with: an entrance unit which is installed in an entrance and allows a visitor to call a resident to establish a call; a human sensor for detecting a visitor around the entrance unit; an automatic door to be used for entering the inside of the apartment through the entrance; a room master unit to be used by a resident to respond to a call from the entrance unit; and a controller. The room master unit is provided with: a call path formation means for a response operation to a call from the entrance unit; and a call path cut off means for cutting off the call path to the entrance unit. It is provided with a timer means for measuring the time in which the human detection sensor continues to detect the visitor after the call is received from the entrance unit and the call path is cut off by the call path cut off means.
