PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration actuator which can be made thinner and wherein a drop impact resistance can be increased without complicating the structure. SOLUTION: Since the vibration actuator 1 is equipped with a flat coil 6 extending in the vibration direction, and a flat magnet 7 extending in the vibration direction, the housing 4 can be made flat and thereby can be made thinner. Since weights 11 and 12 are supported by a shaft 13, the weights 11 and 12 can be moved along the shaft 13 during drop impact, and thereby the weights 11 and 12 do not move freely in the housing 4. Furthermore, since the coil springs 16 and 17 are arranged between the spring receiving part 14 and the weights 11 and 12, no useless space is created in the housing 4 and thereby space saving is attained resulting in compaction of the vibration actuator 1.
