The apparatus has a partial positive part arranged on a supporting device. The part comprises a set of elongated flat profiles (1), where each flat profile is provided with an elongated hole (1') extending from an end of the profile towards another end of the profile. The profile is connected with threaded rods (3) by angle profiles (20) arranged at both ends. Surfaces of the flat profiles are vertically positioned, and each angle profile with few flat profiles provides a corner joint. The angle profile is designed as a single-part component or a multi-part component i.e. differential element. An independent claim is also included for a method of building an apparatus for incrementally forming a blank into a component.
