<p>The transmission path characteristics obtained from pilot signals are accumulated for a predetermined number of symbols and then Fourier transformed (1); the power of each of a plurality of Doppler frequency components is calculated (2); the calculated power of each Doppler frequency component is filtered in the time direction (3); the noise components are masked (4); and a power variation between adjacent Doppler frequency components is emphasized (5) and then compared with a determination threshold value, thereby generating speed information (6). The operation of demodulation is optimized in accordance with the traveling speed, thereby improving the traveling reception performance. As a result, speed detection whereby a traveling speed can be detected, from received signals, with high precision is achieved.</p> |
