PURPOSE: Steering control apparatus and method using landmark are provided to offer a technology providing visual information to an operator. CONSTITUTION: A steering control apparatus using landmark comprises a coordinate controller(302), a lane controller(303), and a display unit(304). The coordinate controller produces the present coordinate data or driving lane data by analyzing the images in which a landmark installed on a road is photographed by a camera(301). The lane controller determines a driving state by comparing target coordinate data, present coordinate data, and present driving lane data. The display unit displays the present coordinate data, present driving lane data, target coordinate data and normal driving state.
