<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single-chamber type solid oxide fuel cell capable of enhancing battery performance at low temperature. <P>SOLUTION: The solid oxide fuel cell is provided with electrolyte containing (ZrO<SB>2</SB>)<SB>1-X</SB>(Sc<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>)<SB>X</SB>(X is 0.08 to 0.15), a fuel electrode arranged at one side of the electrolyte, and an air electrode arranged at the other side of the electrolyte and containing [Ma<SB>1-x</SB>Ma'<SB>x</SB>]<SB>2</SB>[Mb<SB>1-y</SB>Mb'<SB>y</SB>]O<SB>4</SB>(in the formula, Ma and Ma' are the same or different, and selected from a group of alkaline earth metals, lanthanoids and actinoids, Mb and Mb' are the same or different, and selected from transition metals, and x and y are the same or different, showing such numerical values as 0-1). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
