<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device capable of viewing that the whole peripheral surface light-emit light and protecting a light source or a light guide plate from wind and rain from the outside and external shocks. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting device has a plurality of light guide plates wherein a recessed or projected pattern is formed on one surface or both surfaces of a principal plane and light incident from one end of a side face is led out from the principal plane via the recessed or projected pattern, a plurality of light source units respectively arranged by adjoining one end of side faces of the plurality of light guide plates and making the light from one end of the side faces respectively incident, and a retention member for retaining at least either of the plurality of light guide plates and the plurality of light source units. The plurality of light guide plates curved or bent outside from one end of the side face to the other end of an opposite side face are assembled so that the light source units arranged on one end of the side faces of the light guide plates are covered with other adjoining light guide plates. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
