PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature sensor and a method of detecting temperature for improving detection precision as compared with a case where current is measured basically by measuring voltage basically by one TFT. SOLUTION: The temperature sensor 1 includes a transistor 2 and a capacitive element 3 connected to the transistor 2. After charge charged to the capacitive element 3 is discharged by an off current of the transistor 2, temperature is detected on the basis of the amount of charge remaining in the capacitive element 3, or voltage based on the amount of charge.
