<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp in which devitrification of an arc tube can be suppressed effectively and for a long period and the lamp lifetime can be remarkably improved and its manufacturing method, a light source device, and a projector. <P>SOLUTION: The discharge lamp has a reforming layer in which boron is diffused formed on the inner face of the arc tube consisting of quartz glass and the filling material filled into the arc tube is a hydrogen-free material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
