<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader for reducing the number of components, making it unnecessary to perform the positioning or precise management of each mechanism, achieving simple configuration, and irradiating a reading surface (object surface) with efficient and uniform rays of light. <P>SOLUTION: This image reader is provided with: a case 1 having an object surface 11 for reading an image attached to an object to be photographed; a light transmission plate 2 installed on the object surface 11; an image pickup means 3 installed so as to be faced to the object surface 11 inside the case 1 for picking up an image; an LED light source 4 arranged inside the case 1 for irradiating the object surface 11 with the rays of light; a shielding plate 5 arranged between an LED light source 4 and the image pickup means 3 for shielding the rays of light made incident from the LED light source 4 to the image pickup means 3; and a diffusion means 6 arranged in parallel with an optical axis A1 of the image pickup means 3 inside the case 1 for diffusing the rays of light made incident from the LED light source 4 to the object surface and reflected rays of light from the object to be photographed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
