PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of rapidly converting an image format only as necessary by designating a virtual address without rewriting original image data. SOLUTION: In the image processing apparatus 1 including an image conversion section 10 and an address determining section 20, the image conversion section 10 generates image format conversion data obtained by converting input image data 1002 into a given image format, and the address determining section 20 determines whether an inputted virtual address 1000 is included in a given virtual address region or not, and outputs the image format conversion data so long as the virtual address 1000 is included therein.
