PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust heat recovery device capable of quickly raising the temperature of air, by quickly transmitting heat of exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine to the air sent into a cabin. SOLUTION: In an exhaust heat recovery unit 5, the heat of the exhaust gas is transmitted to an outer wall 21a of an air passage 21 by heat radiation from the exhaust pipe 2 side, and the heat is exchanged between the outer wall 21a of its air passage 21 and the air flowing in the passage 21, to thereby heat the air derived in the cabin from the air passage 21. Thus, the heat of the exhaust gas is recovered and used to heat the air sent into the cabin. In this case, since the transmission of the heat of the exhaust gas to the air in the air passage 21 is performed without an intermediate of cooling water of the internal combustion engine by the heat radiation, a delay in a temperature rise in the air sent into the cabin by the extent of being obliged to wait for the temperature rise in its cooling water, can be prevented.
