PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a player enjoy a task-providing performance without making the player feel as if a mission is achieved. SOLUTION: A CPU for general control determines execution of mission performance when a probability variation 2R jackpot game or a small win game is won in a state of low probability and no shortening of variation time or in a state or high probability and no shortening of variation time, with a variation pattern designation command input to designate a specific variation pattern. When the same task symbol as a ready-for-win forming symbol composing a symbol combination indicating probability variation in a symbol variation game is determined as a task symbol to be introduced in opening performance executed after finishing the symbol variation game, the CPU for general control changes it to a task symbol preliminarily set to correspond to it. In starting the first symbol variation game after start of a high probability indicating mode, a feeling of having achieved a mission is not given even when the first symbol variation game has not been started.
