The method involves assigning a sensor element (SE), user-related sensor units and object-related sensor units to a user (B) and/or an object (O) to be protected for detecting user-related data and/or object-related data. A user profile is compared with a reference user profile by a user control unit (BS) and/or an object control unit (OS). The user of the object to be protected is identified as an authorized user during approximate overruling of the user profile with the reference user profile. An independent claim is also included for a system identifying an authorized user of an object to be protected.
