PURPOSE: A stand-up and lay-down type handrail parapet is provided to prevent damage to the parapet when a water level is increased by laying down the handrail frontward. CONSTITUTION: A stand-up and lay-down type bridge handrail comprises a post bracket(10), a handrail post(20), a handrail fixing unit(50), a support unit(70), a rotating bar, and a buoyancy member(90). The post bracket is installed in the edge part of a bridge. The bottom end of the handrail post is rotatably coupled to the front of the post bracket. The top end of the handrail fixing unit is coupled to the bottom end of the handrail post. The support unit is fixed to the bottom end of the handrail fixing unit on the bottom surface of the bridge. One end of the rotating bar is hinged on the handrail fixing unit. The buoyancy member is coupled to the other end of the rotating bar and is floated when a water level is increased. |
