A lifting bracket (420) for a lifting assembly (400) to lift a cylindrical object (300) having an annular flange (240) with a plurality of spaced-apart holes (255, 260) formed therein using a lifting device (350) is provided. The bracket includes a flange attachment piece (425) having at least one adjustable hole assembly (440,441) for aligning with at least one hole of said plural-ity of spaced-apart holes on the flange such that the bracket may be used to lift objects having spaced-apart holes of varying dis-tances. The bracket also includes a hoist ring (445) for receiving a wire rope (500) and a swivel device (443) having a hoist ring con-nection loop (453). The swivel device freely rotates about a pin (446) and the hoist ring freely pivots when the object is being lifted from a horizontal position to a vertical posi-tion. |
