PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for transmitting a data packet for checking a communication state are provided to check the communication state of a target device through a debugging packet of a checking target device in a remote host. CONSTITUTION: A packet transmission and reception unit(120) receives and transmits a data packet to and from a network, and a function setting memory unit(130) stores the setting information for a remote debugging function option. If the remote debugging function option is activated, a control unit(110) generates a debugging packet through the data packet received and transmitted through the packet transmission and reception unit. |
