<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a rotary 1 and other parts in an apparatus 100 from being damaged, because the rotary 1 collides with other parts due to shock in the distribution of goods, and to prevent a user from erroneously removing a drum cartridge 70 from an apparatus body 100A, in a state where a locking member 21, regulating the rocking of the rotary 1, is attached to the apparatus body 100A. <P>SOLUTION: An electrophotographic image forming apparatus includes the locking member 21, removably attached to between the drum cartridge 70 and the rotary 1 by rocking the rotary 1, and makes a developer carrier 51 of a developing means 5 placed at a development position X and an image carrier 71 separate to regulate the rocking of the rotary 1; and a pressing member 23, which is movably provided in the apparatus body 100A and presses the drum cartridge 70 against the apparatus body 100A to position the drum cartridge.
