<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ink for color filter of an inkjet system, which is suitably used for manufacture of a color filter with suppressed bronzing phenomenon and increased brightness, and to provide the color filter with suppressed bronzing phenomenon and increased brightness. <P>SOLUTION: The ink for a color filter is to be used for manufacturing a color filter by using an inkjet system, and includes: a colorant; a liquid medium in which the colorant is dissolved and/or dispersed; a silicone compound including a unit structure of formula (1) R<SP>1</SP>R<SP>2</SP>SiO<SB>2/2</SB>, formula (2) (R<SP>3</SP>SiO<SB>3/2</SB>)<SB>c</SB>, and a silanol group. In formula (1), R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>represent respectively independently a 1-6C monovalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group or a 6-10C monovalent aromatic hydrocarbon group, and further, in formula (2).
