<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulose acylate film which has low moisture content, expresses optical properties well, has low haze and, when attached to a polarizing plate and left alone over time in a high-temperature high-humidity environment, reduces degradation in a polarizer. <P>SOLUTION: The cellulose acylate film contains a cellulose acylate and a carbohydrate derivative which has 0-5.5 ClogP value, exhibits ≤50×10<SP>3</SP>maximum molar absorptivity to the light of 230-700 nm wavelength, and has at least two substituents which are substituted for hydroxy groups thereof and at least one of which has at least one aromatic ring.
