WATER RESISTANT STRESS-INDUCED LIGHT-EMITTING MATERIAL, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, AND COATING COMPOSITION AND INK COMPOSITION USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stress-induced light-emitting material reinforcing water resistance being a weak point thereof, a method for producing the same, and a coating composition and an ink composition using the water resistant stress-induced light-emitting material.

SOLUTION: The method for producing a water resistant stress-induced light-emitting material includes a step of immersing a powdery or granular stress-induced light-emitting material emitting light by applying mechanical force in a sol-gel solution containing an alkoxysilane or/and an alkoxysilane condensate; a step of subjecting the stress-induced light-emitting material immersed in the sol-gel solution to a decompression treatment; and a step of subjecting the stress-induced light-emitting material subjected to decompression treatment to dry and heat treatment, where a waterproofing silica layer is formed closely to the particle surfaces of the stress-induced light-emitting material.
