<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support device for supporting own vehicle to make a realistic driving behavior, taking into consideration the risk of coming into contact with an obstacle in the periphery of own vehicle and own vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: An ECU 20 of a driving support device 10 predicts the risk of the contact of an obstacle in the periphery of own vehicle 100 and own vehicle 100, when own vehicle 100 travels, on the basis of a driving action relating to a normative action candidate regarding at least one normative action candidate as the candidate of the normative driving action of own vehicle 100, corresponding to the peripheral situations of own vehicle.
