PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire source probing system which can reliably and rapidly identify a fire source by using an infrared camera. SOLUTION: The system locates the position of a fire source by detecting any pixel value in excess of a predetermined threshold value, based on imaging data obtained with an infrared camera (14). The system includes an infrared camera control part (12) that labels a set of pixels in excess of the predetermined threshold value based on the imaging data, to create detection data including a pixel value indicating the highest temperature within the imaging data, a gravity center coordinate of each set up to the N-th set labeled (N is an integer of 1 or more), and a pixel value indicating the highest temperature within each set up to the N-th set; and an integral process part (11) which, if a set where a pixel value indicating the highest temperature within the imaging data matches the pixel value indicating the highest temperature within each set up to the N-th set exists according to the detection data, identifies the gravity center coordinate of the matching set as the position of a fire source.
