PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope even with various carrying object materials at which lengths in the feeding direction of the carrying object materials are ranged over a wide range, in a carrying object material carrying device for carrying the carrying object materials by switching an ejecting roller to a nip state and a release state. SOLUTION: This carrying object material carrying device includes a carrier roller 7, the ejecting roller 13 capable of taking the nip state and the release state, and a nip-release switching mechanism 55 for switching the nip state and the release state of the ejecting roller by a rotational position of a cam drive gear 57. The nip-release switching mechanism includes a release cam 61 for transferring the ejecting roller to the release state and a power transmission switching mechanism 501 arranged between the release cam 61 and a cam drive gear 57 and transmitting the rotation of the cam drive gear to the release cam 61 side via a plurality of reduction gear ratio passage 503 of the different reduction gear ratio corresponding to a difference in the length in the feeding direction of the carrying object material.
