PURPOSE: A method for compensation motor position offset of an HEV is provided to an initial angle offset through a control algorithm of a controller by detecting an initial angle offset of the initial position of a rotor. CONSTITUTION: In a method for compensation motor position offset of an HEV, a location and speed sensor sense the location of the rotor of an electric motor. A current sensor senses a three-phase current in a d-q shaft(S101). The three-phase current is converted to perform vector control(S103). The current in the d-q shaft is calculated. The offset of the speed sensor and location are detected. An angle error offset is calculated. The correction control of the angle error is performed. The control value of the current controller is changed by an offset value.
