COMPONENT HIGHLIGHT DEVICE, PROGRAM, AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify and present a component to be a point in a claim thereby to focus on reading an explanation concerning a technology for supporting the understanding of the claim.

SOLUTION: A component name extracting part 103 and a part 104 for extracting the explanation of a component from the claim extract a component name and an explanation sentence from text data of the claim in a patent document. An information amount determining part 105 determines the information amount of the explanation sentence. A part 106 for extracting an explanation from an embodiment extracts an explanation sentence from the minute explanation per component name where the information amount of the explanation sentence is not sufficient. A part 107 for extracting a reason to obtain an effect extracts a reason to obtain an effect from the advantageous effect. A similarity calculating part 108 calculates similarity between the explanation sentence of each component and the reason to obtain the effect. A point component specifying part 109 specifies the component of the explanation sentence with the highest similarity as the component to be the point. A display part 110 high-light displays the component.
