PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological information processor which can obtain a correct light attenuation coefficient in a subject. SOLUTION: The biological information processor includes: a light source which irradiates the subject with light; a first light absorbing member which is located separating between an irradiation site of a light from the light source to the subject and the subject and in which optical characteristics for the irradiated light is previously recognized; an elastic wave detector which detects an elastic wave generated from the first light absorbing member when the irradiated light reaches the first light absorbing member through the subject and is absorbed; and an arithmetic section which calculates the light attenuation coefficient in the subject based on the intensity of the irradiated light, the optical characteristics of the first light absorbing member and the intensity of the detected elastic wave generated from the first light absorbing member.
