PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner having excellent low temperature fixability, reducing fogging or scumming, and having excellent solid-image following capability and halftone image density. SOLUTION: The toner comprises toner base particles containing a binder resin, and an external additive. The binder resin comprises a crystalline resin and an amorphous resin. The crystalline resin comprises a composite resin containing a styrene resin component and a condensation polymerization resin component which is obtained by polycondensing an alcohol component containing an aliphatic diol having 2 to 10 carbon atoms and a carboxylic acid component containing an aromatic dicarboxylic acid compound. The weight ratio of the condensation polymerization resin component to the styrene resin component (condensation polymerization resin component/styrene resin component) in the composite resin ranges from 50/50 to 95/5. The external additive comprises melamine resin fine particles having an average particle diameter of 0.1 to 0.8μm, and the content of the melamine resin fine particles ranges from 0.03 to 1.0 part by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the toner base particles.
