METHOD FOR PRODUCING 1, 2-DIAMINOCYCLOHEXANE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing optically active trans-1, 2-diaminocyclohexane (DACH) and cis-DACH from a 1, 2-DACH isomer mixture. SOLUTION: The method for producing the optically active trans-DACH is characterized by adding optically active tartaric acid as a resolving agent to a mixture containing trans-DACH to resolve as a diastereomer salt, adding the enantiomer of the previously used optically active tartaric acid to the obtained crystallization mother liquor as a raw material without removing the optically active tartaric acid, thereby separating the optically active trans-DACH and the optically active tartrate as crystals; and the method for producing cis-DACH is characterized by dropping a mineral acid on the mother liquor to separate the cis-DACH as mineral acid salt crystals.
