PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring device that reduces user's burden when setting a monitoring device. SOLUTION: In an imaging apparatus 100, a 3D model generation part 107 generates a 3D model in which human models are arranged in a group of end points specifying a monitoring designated area shown by world coordinates, a coordinate conversion part 105 converts the 3D model into a 2D model of an image coordinate system. By doing so, when a person stands at the end of the monitoring designated area, an estimated image in which the person is supposed to be projected on a photographed image is displayed and thereby a camera 101 is easily adjusted to a suitable setting condition.
