PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving body proximity warning system which is very effective for a visually-challenged person accompanied by a seeing-eye dog, and to provided an ultrasonic-wave generator for mounting on a moving body used for the system and an ultrasonic-wave receiver used for the system. SOLUTION: The moving body proximity warning system includes an ultrasonic-wave generating means (12), mounted on the moving body (11, 19) and generates ultrasonic waves belonging to a dog's audible frequency band which is higher than the audible frequency band of a human; and an ultrasonic-wave receiving means (21), which is fixed to a harness (20) attached to the service dog for the visually disabled person and warns proximity of the moving body (11, 19) to the visually-challenged person, by receiving the ultrasonic waves generated by the ultrasonic-wave generating means (12) and converting them into vibration.
