Disclosed is a magnetic-suspension centrifugal pump that does not use permanent magnets in a disposable section and is provided with a pump head section and a pump section. The pump section comprises a stator, a torque-transmission disc, a motor that rotationally drives the torque-transmission disc, a displacement meter that measures radial displacement of a rotor, and a pump housing. One end of the stator is provided with a rotor-insertion section which has a depth greater than the protrusion length of a rotor-containing section that does not use permanent magnets. The rotor-containing section is disposed inside the rotor-insertion section so as to be able to be inserted and removed. At least three magnetic bearing electromagnets, which magnetically couple with the rotor, are arranged at equal intervals on the stator. The torque-transmission disc, which is disposed inside the rotor-insertion section and which magnetically couples with the rotor, is formed by bonding a ring member, which comprises a magnetic material and is provided with protrusions at positions opposite protrusions on the rotor, between a plurality of ring-shaped permanent magnets such that like poles face each other. The ring-shaped permanent magnets are magnetized in the thickness direction thereof. Another ring member is then placed on top of the uppermost ring-shaped permanent magnet.
