<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus and an opening/closing detection device for the same, allowing detection of opening/closing of a display side casing with an inexpensive configuration without needing minute position adjustment by use of LEDs used for display. <P>SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus includes: the LEDs 1, 2 provided on an input part 4 side of a body side casing 2 and on a display device 5 side of the display side casing 3, disposed in positions facing to each other when the display side casing 3 is closed, each functioning as a light emitting means for the display, and each functioning as a light receiving means; and an embedded controller detecting the opening/closing of the display side casing 3 based on light reception detection results of the LEDs 1, 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
