<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device, along with a control method thereof, capable of utilizing address information based on the inputted character string. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic device includes a memory 44 for storing an address book in which names and address information correspond to each other, an operation unit 14 for inputting a character string, a display 21 which displays a character string inputted by the operation unit 14 and a conversion candidate character string which is a conversion candidate of the inputted character string, a search executing unit 46 which executes searching the address book based on the character string inputted by the operation unit 14, and a controller 45 which displays the name or address information corresponding to the inputted character string found by the search executing unit 46 on the display 21 as the conversion candidate character string. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
