摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared reflective material which is black in color and has excellent infrared reflective ability. SOLUTION: A complex oxide containing a strontium element, a manganese element, a titanium element, and, if needed, an aluminum element is black in color and is used as an excellent infrared reflective material. Such an infrared reflective material can also be manufactured by mixing respective predetermined amounts of a strontium compound, a manganese compound, a titanium compound, and, if needed, an aluminum compound or the like and then firing the mixture. The obtained complex oxide is powdery. Thus, by adding to a paint or a resin composition, the complex oxide can be used in various ways. For example, the complex oxide can be utilized for reducing heat island phenomena by being painted on a roof or an external wall of a building or being painted on a road or a sidewalk.
