PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin film which has a high transparency and a low coefficient of linear expansion and is excellent in dimensional stability such as thermal expansion and thermal shrinkage; and to provide a method for manufacturing the resin film. SOLUTION: The resin film is a resin film containing crystalline cellulose and a dispersing agent, in which the substitution degree of a hydroxyl group of the crystalline cellulose by an acyl group ranges from 0 to 2.0, and the average minor axis diameter of the crystalline cellulose is 2μm or less, and is characterized by containing a cellulose ester resin.
