PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller which hardly causes roller stripping and roller scratch, which has high rust-proofing effect and superior heat conductivity, and which is also inexpensive. SOLUTION: The inking roller for an offset press includes a metallic roller 13 and a resin layer 15 on the surface of the metallic roller 13, wherein the resin layer 15 is formed by coating the surface with wear resistant, solvent resistant and chemical resistant resin and is provided with a smooth surface having a surface roughness Rz of 1-15μm.
