PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress circulation resistance of a fluid to be filtered by avoiding complete blocking of fine holes when foreign matters are caught in a posture covering the fine holes of a mesh part. SOLUTION: The filter 10 is equipped with a mesh part 12 having fine holes. In the mesh part 12, there are installed projections 14 which protrude toward the upstream side in the flowing direction of a fluid to be filtered (the fluid) and which are designed to avoid blocking of the fine holes 11A, by coming into contact with the foreign matters 100 that is in the fluid and caught by the mesh part 12, and by forming a flow passage R between the foreign matters and the openings of the fine holes 11A to allow the fluid to circulate.
