The present invention relates to compounds of the formula (I), wherein one or more of the groups A1-5 mean a 1,4-naphthylene group or a 1,4- or 9,10-anthracenylene group and the remaining parameters are defined as in claim 1. The invention further relates to liquid crystal media that contain the title compounds, and to components containing said media for high-frequency technology, in particular phase shifters and microwave array antennas.
