PURPOSE: A multi-functional intake muffler for an air compressor is provided to reduce the noise generating in intake and compression of external air. CONSTITUTION: A multi-functional intake muffler for an air compressor comprises a muffler housing(10), a sound-absorbing filter, a muffler cover(30), and an intake pipe(40). The muffler housing is integrally installed in a compression pump, and the muffler housing has a rear plate which blocks up an opening of the crank case of the compression pump and a filter insertion part on the opposite side to the rear plate. The sound-absorbing filter is accommodated in the muffler housing with one side inserted and supported in the filter insertion part. The muffler cover, in which a filter supporting protrusion supporting the other side of the sound-absorbing filter is formed on the interior side and an external air inlet(31) is formed on the lower side, blocks up the front side of the muffler housing. The intake pipe is integrally connected to a plurality of branch holes and an intake hole(5a) of a cylinder head.
