<p>The shelf base has an audio amplifier (2), a high-range speaker (3), and a base body (1) made from wood, plastic, stone or metal. A long side surface (11) forms a front side of the base, and another long side surface (12) forms a rear side of the base in a mounting position. Recesses are provided in a lower surface of the base for accommodating a mid or low-range loudspeaker.
