PURPOSE: A system for measuring the amount of stacked snow and a method for the same are provided to minimize errors due to environmental factors and improve the reliability of a stacked snow measuring operation. CONSTITUTION: A method for measuring the amount of stacked snow includes the following: Linear laser beam(100) is radiated. A linear laser image is obtained using a digital camera(110). The obtained image is transmitted to an analyzing system. The coordinate of a curve change point is obtained. A length between the end point of the laser and the curve change point is obtained. The height of stacked snow is obtained.
