<p>PURPOSE: A method of controlling the operation of a ventilator is provided to maximize an air exchange ability by controlling external air, which is not heat-exchanged, by properly opening a variable damper. CONSTITUTION: A method of controlling the operation of a ventilator is as follows. If a user turns on the ventilator(S10'), it is determined whether an automatic mode was selected to ventilate indoor air in an optimal condition according to the pollution level of the indoor air and the temperature difference between indoor and outdoor spaces(S11'). If yes, it is determined whether current outdoor temperature is within a particular range of temperature(S14'). If not, the outputs of an air exhaust fan an air supply fan are controlled to predetermined values, the variable damper is closed and a mode determining step is performed(S13'). If the current outdoor temperature is within the particular range of temperature, the difference between current outdoor temperature and indoor temperature is calculated(S16').</p> |
