A method of avoiding monitoring useless dynamic scheduling information of multimedia broadcast multicast service for a user equipment of a wireless communication system includes identifying a service type of an ongoing multimedia broadcast multicast service (302), detecting whether the multimedia broadcast multicast service is received when the multimedia broadcast multicast service is identified as a short session service (304), and informing a lower layer to stop monitoring dynamic scheduling information when the multimedia broadcast multicast service is received (306).
When the MBMS service is identified as an intermittent service (308), the method includes suspending monitoring scheduling information when the session is received, and resuming monitoring when a next session of the MBMS service arrives (310). |
