<p>A spotting fluid composition comprises: a water insoluble external phase fluid comprising at least one of the following: a mineral oil, diesel oil, kerosene, methyl oleate, ethyl oleate, isobutyl oleate, isobutyl linoleate, or a mixture thereof; a water soluble internal phase fluid; and an ether carboxylic acid emulsifying agent wherein the ether carboxylic acid emulsifying agent is defined by the following formula:
where n is a positive integer: 1 < n < 8, and where R is any hydrocarbon having from 1 to 30 carbon atoms and where R is a linear or branched alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, alkylaryl, arylalkyl, or cycloalkyl or a mixture thereof.</p> |
