Method of licence plate recognition and categorisation of vehicles for toll purposes

The method involves manually determining a vehicle license plate (LP) for an actual license plate reading result when uniform license plate reading result is not determined or candidate fingerprint is not determined. The actual license plate reading result is assigned as an additional actual license plate reading result to the vehicle license plate in a database (DB). Additional assignment of the actual license plate reading result is performed when the actual license plate reading result reaches minimum counts and/or minimum quality.
