PURPOSE: An apparatus for cleaning a metal filter and a method for cleaning the same are provided to improve the recycling efficiency of the metal filter by improving the cleaning capability of the apparatus. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for cleaning a metal filter(100) includes a cleaning jig, a soaking bath(200), a cleaning bath(300), a drying unit(400), and an inspecting unit(500). The soaking bath includes a chamber in which the assembly of a metal filter is contained in order to separate foreign materials from the metal filter. The cleaning bath implements a cleaning process with respect to the metal filter. The drying unit functions as a heat chamber with respect to the metal filter. The inspecting unit evaluates the cleaning state of the metal filter based on the penetration amount of air.
