<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric steering lock system provided with a mechanical lock hindering device capable of hindering lock more perfectly than an electric type lock hindering device. <P>SOLUTION: The lock hindering device 21 has an engagement piece 20 energized in the projecting direction freely to appear and disappear, and has an alternate mechanism for holding the engagement piece 20 in the disappearing condition when the projecting engagement piece 20 is pushed into a recessing direction, resisting the energizing force, and for holding it in the projecting condition by pushing out the engagement piece 20 with the energizing force when the recessed engagement piece 20 is pushed to the recessing direction. A lock pin 10 is formed with an engaging recessed part 10b and a pushing surface part 10d. When the lock pin 10 is retreated from a retreating position, a sliding surface part 20a of the engagement piece 20 abuts on the pushing surface part 10d and slides, and the engagement piece 20 is pushed in the recessing direction. Forward movement of the lock pin 10 is limited by engagement of the engagement piece 20 in the retreating position, and when the lock pin 10 is retreated from the retreating position, the engagement piece 20 is recessed to enable the forward movement of the lock pin 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
