Rotor and rotor blade for an axial turbomachine

The rotor has rotating blades (26) that are inserted into a rotor groove, and a blade root comprising an inverted-T root with a hammer head. The blade root is supported at radial stop surfaces (25) of the groove against centrifugal forces acting on the rotor blades, and supported at axial stop surfaces (20) against axial forces acting on the rotor blades. The groove has a base area (23) extending in axial and radial directions, where the base area has a constant curved cross-sectional contour. The blade root is adapted to the base area in the radial direction.
