PURPOSE: A composition containing adipose stem cells which are activated by vitamin D is provided to improve hair growth ability and to prevent or treat alopecia. CONSTITUTION: A composition for enhancing hair growth ability of adipose stem cells contains vitamin D as an active ingredient. The adipose stem cells are autologous adipose stem cells. A method for enhancing hair growth ability of adipose stem cells comprises: a step of inoculating adipose stem cells to a medium containing vitamin D for 3-36 hours. The concentration of vitamin D is 10^-8 to 10^-4 M.
